STEMspire Online Tutoring Terms and Conditions Last Updated: 11.9.24
1. Introduction
Welcome to STEMspire, By booking a tutoring session through our website, you agree to
comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these
Terms and Conditions carefully before making a booking.
2. Booking and Payment
2.1 Booking Confirmation All bookings are subject to availability and will be confirmed
via email upon receipt of payment.
2.2 Payment Payment for tutoring sessions must be made in full at the time of booking.
All payments are processed securely.
2.3 Pricing Prices for tutoring sessions are clearly displayed on our website and may be
subject to change. Any changes will not aƯect sessions that have already been booked
and paid for.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling
3.1 Cancellation by Client:
Individual Sessions If you need to cancel a session, please provide at least 24 hours'
notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will not be refunded.
Package Sessions For cancellations of sessions booked as part of a package, a refund
will be issued for the remaining sessions only if the cancellation is made with at least 24
hours' notice before the next scheduled session.
3.2 Rescheduling Sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice without
penalty. Rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours' notice will not be
accommodated and will be subject to our cancellation policy.
3.3 Cancellation by STEMspire In the unlikely event that a tutor needs to cancel a
session, we will notify you as soon as possible and oƯer an alternative time. If a
rescheduled session is not convenient, a full refund for that session will be provided.
4. Tutor Responsibilities
4.1 Quality of Service Tutors are responsible for providing high-quality tutoring
services, including preparation for sessions, delivering content in an understandable
manner, and providing constructive feedback.
4.2 Punctuality Tutors are expected to start and end sessions on time. If a tutor is late,
additional time will be added to the session or a partial refund will be offerred.
5. Student Responsibilities
5.1 Punctuality Students are expected to log in on time for their scheduled sessions.
Sessions will not be extended due to late arrival by the student.
5.2 Preparation Students should come prepared with any materials, questions, or
assignments they wish to cover during the session.
5.3 Conduct Students are expected to maintain a respectful and professional
demeanour during all sessions. Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in the
termination of the session without a refund.
6. Technical Requirements
6.1 Internet Connection A stable internet connection is required for online tutoring
sessions. STEMspire is not responsible for any issues arising from a poor connection on
the student's side.
6.2 Software and Equipment Students are responsible for ensuring they have the
necessary software and equipment to participate in online sessions.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
7.1 Personal Information We collect and store personal information necessary for
providing tutoring services. This information will be handled in accordance with our
Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Content Ownership All materials provided by STEMspire and its tutors, including
lesson plans, worksheets, and digital resources, remain the intellectual property of
STEMspire. These materials are for personal use only and may not be distributed or
reproduced without permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 General While STEMspire strives to provide the highest quality tutoring services, we
do not guarantee specific academic results. Our liability is limited to the amount paid
for the specific tutoring session(s) in question.
9.2 Technical Issues STEMspire is not liable for any disruptions caused by technical
issues beyond our control, such as internet outages or software failures. In such cases,
we will make reasonable eƯorts to reschedule the aƯected session.
10. Changes to Terms and Conditions
STEMspire reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any
changes will be posted on our website, and the date of the last update will be indicated
at the top of this document. Continued use of our services after any changes indicates
your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.
